Case Study: Tyson Foods boosts frontline retention and career growth with Guild

A Guild Education Case Study

Preview of the Tyson Foods Case Study

Providing equity and opportunity through learning and career growth

Tyson Foods wanted a more scalable way to support learning and career growth for frontline employees while dealing with burnout, turnover, and talent shortages. Many team members work in rural plants, speak more than 50 languages across 160 countries, and had limited access to education, making it important to build a program that felt accessible and relevant. Tyson Foods partnered with Guild to expand its education and development efforts.

With Guild, Tyson Foods launched free education for all U.S. team members, including degrees, career certificates, and literacy and technology fundamentals, along with 1:1 coaching and career exploration support. The program drove 82% engagement within the first 30 days for participating employees, produced a 3x increase in applications in the first 6 months after rollout, and delivered an 86% higher retention rate for early-tenure frontline employees versus those who did not sign up.
