Casai, a tech-forward property management startup founded by Nico Barawid and Maricarmen Herrerias, set out to modernize extended-stay and short-term rentals across Mexico but quickly needed a more robust technology stack to scale. Facing the challenge of managing multi-platform distribution, calendars, reservations, guest communication and billing — and then reacting quickly to COVID-19 — Casai evaluated solutions and selected Guesty to centralize operations and support direct bookings.

Guesty supplied a centralized dashboard, strong OTA integrations, advanced messaging, the Send A Quote tool and booking engine, plus an open API for automating their direct-booking site. With Guesty, Casai grew from a few Airbnb listings to 200+ units across 10+ platforms in two countries; calendar optimization and platform integrations contributed an estimated 20–30% uplift in revenue, direct bookings accounted for over half of revenue at the pandemic peak, occupancy rebounded to ~90% of pre-pandemic levels, and Casai maintained 4.9+ review scores.
