Case Study: Richardson Electronics achieves centralized global cash visibility and payments automation with GTreasury

A GTreasury Case Study

Preview of the Richardson Electronics Case Study

Richardson Electronics’ Global Cash Management Project

Richardson Electronics, a 75‑year‑old US multinational distributor of electronic components with operations in more than 30 countries, needed better visibility and control of its global cash as it moved to Microsoft Dynamics CRM/ERP. A small treasury team relied on spreadsheets and basic banking software that lacked the functionality and transparency to support growing financial risk and a planned centralised payments model, so Richardson selected GTreasury to provide a modern treasury workstation and payments‑factory capabilities.

GTreasury implemented a hosted treasury workstation with ERP integration, host‑to‑host links to JP Morgan and Bank of America, multibank reporting, FX triangulation and automated payment execution; the project was delivered on time and on budget. The GTreasury solution now manages about 90 demand deposit accounts and 20 investment accounts (with a target to consolidate to ~45), provides centralised visibility and automated disbursements for US, Europe and EMEA, and—per Richardson’s projections—will deliver monthly cost savings through fewer accounts, lower transaction and audit costs, and reduced manual reconciliation.
