Mohamed Bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge launches a 3-part microsite with GTECH

GTECH Information Technology was hired by the Mohamed Bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge (MBZIRC), an international robotics competition in Abu Dhabi, to create a comprehensive digital platform. The challenge involved developing a central hub to manage the competition, facilitate team registrations, host submissions, and foster communication, all to support a complex event focusing on heterogeneous robotics collaboration.

The solution implemented by GTECH was a custom-built microsite using Drupal 9, accompanied by a dedicated registration portal and a community forum built on Discourse. This integrated platform provided easy access to information, automated team onboarding, and a secure submission portal for whitepapers. GTECH successfully delivered the system, which allowed the MBZIRC organizers to efficiently review teams, manage submissions, and shortlist qualified participants for the competition.
