Case Study: United Parcel Service achieves faster, more visible order management with GT Nexus

A GT Nexus Case Study

Preview of the United Parcel Service Case Study

UPS’s use of GT Nexus order management system emblematic of the way forwarders seek best-of-breed solutions

United Parcel Service (UPS) wanted richer order management capabilities for its global forwarding business and first evaluated whether to build the system internally or buy one from the market. After a broad RFP process, UPS chose GT Nexus and its cloud-based order management solution to support UPS Supplier Management and improve visibility for customers across complex, multi-supplier shipments.

GT Nexus provided the back-end platform for UPS’s white-labeled “Order Watch” offering, enabling PO-level shipment planning, consolidated inbound shipment management, and visibility from order creation through delivery. The result was a faster-to-market, lower-capital solution that became a differentiator for UPS, with growth reportedly doubling after rollout and stronger data integrity and collaboration across the shipment network.
