A GT Nexus Case Study
Patagonia, the outdoor apparel maker, faced a complex and overwhelmed supply chain in 2005, relying on paper, Excel, and manual processes to manage growing volumes of supplier data, orders, invoices, and shipments. Working with GT Nexus and its Procure-to-Pay platform, Patagonia needed a way to improve efficiency, visibility, and collaboration across a large global supplier base.
GT Nexus implemented a cloud-based supply chain solution that automated the order-to-settlement process, centralized sourcing and production decisions, and expanded visibility from transactions to factory-level activity. Patagonia migrated 100% of its suppliers to the GT Nexus network, eliminated manual data entry and letters of credit, reduced air freight and labor costs, and improved shipment visibility and supplier relationships.
