A GT Nexus Case Study
Wolverine Worldwide, the Michigan-based shoe and clothing group, needed a way to manage a major acquisition in 2012 without disrupting thousands of active purchase orders, shipments, and payment transactions. To support its global supply chain of more than 100 million pairs of shoes a year from 110 factories in 20 countries, Wolverine Worldwide used GT Nexus, a cloud-based trade network, to keep operations visible and coordinated.
GT Nexus implemented a cloud hub that connected Wolverine Worldwide with suppliers, customers, logistics, and finance partners using a single version of the truth for shared data. The result was a seamless acquisition transition: no lost purchase orders, no unpaid factories, continuous visibility into goods in transit, and full integration completed within a year, with the system also helping the company respond faster to market changes.
