Ironing Out the Wrinkles of a Complex Supply Chain to Generate a Strategic Advantage

Levi’s faced the challenge of managing a highly complex global supply chain across 110 countries and sourcing in about 45 countries, with too many manual processes, inconsistent systems, and limited visibility for suppliers and internal teams. To improve efficiency and control, Levi’s partnered with GT Nexus and used the GT Nexus collaboration platform to standardize and centralize sourcing, payments, and supply chain collaboration.

GT Nexus implemented a web-based, software-as-a-service platform that connected Levi’s existing systems, including SAP, and brought suppliers, logistics providers, and customs brokers onto one shared platform. The result was greater transaction visibility, automated invoice and purchase order processing, faster access to spend-by-vendor data, improved cash-flow management, and stronger compliance. Levi’s also reduced manual steps, eliminated paper-based work, consolidated finance operations into one global shared services center, and could retrieve spend data in minutes instead of relying on time-consuming spreadsheets.
