The College of Saint Rose, a private college in Albany, New York, was running short on storage and lacked disaster recovery capabilities to support reliable access for students and staff. GSS Infotech stepped in with a NetApp-based storage and VMware support solution to address these needs while conserving data center and IT resources.

GSS Infotech installed NetApp unified storage architecture, including FAS systems and SnapMirror/Snapshot capabilities, to improve storage efficiency and add disaster recovery through high-speed replication. The result was reduced risk of data loss, simpler maintenance, more economical and expandable storage, and support for five host servers running 80 virtual machines, including production workloads for Exchange, SQL, and file shares.
