Case Study: Georgia Aquarium achieves single sign-on access with GSS Infotech

A GSS Infotech Case Study

Preview of the Georgia Aquarium Case Study

Admin control created by GSS enabled Georgia Aquarum’s clients to access multiple environments

Georgia Aquarium, one of the world’s largest aquariums and a major Atlanta attraction, needed a single sign-on solution so its B2B and B2C clients could access multiple environments with one set of credentials. The organization also wanted better admin control to manage and regulate user access across those environments. GSS Infotech addressed this challenge using forms-based authentication on the .NET 2.0 platform with WSS 3.0 and SQL Server 2000.

GSS Infotech implemented a portal solution that let authorized users log in once and access their SharePoint-based resources and sub-sites without re-entering credentials. The solution supported up to 700,000 users and 120 predefined user groups, while simplifying administration with tools to view, add, edit, and delete accounts and manage groups. As a result, Georgia Aquarium gained single sign-on access, stronger access control, and a more streamlined experience for its clients.
