World Leading EDF Energy Campus to Employ GSE Systems’ Simulation Technology

EDF Energy is transforming Cannington Court in Somerset into its flagship UK training campus and needed advanced tools to support training for energy industry workers. GSE Systems was selected to provide simulation technology, including Activ3Di visualization tools, GPWR generic nuclear simulators, and VPanel glass-top simulators, to help create a modern learning environment within the historic site.

GSE Systems’ solution will give trainees immersive 3D maintenance and field-operation training, along with high-fidelity real-time nuclear simulation for operator training. The result is a more realistic, multi-format learning experience designed to speed competency, supporting EDF Energy’s £15 million renovation and its planned early 2014 opening with on-site housing for up to 50 trainees.
