SINOPEC Ningbo Engineering (SNEC) needed to optimize start-up and verify the complex control logic for its new IGCC plant, which combined multiple systems including Emerson DeltaV DCS, GE Mark VI, TRICONEX, and other PLCs. GSE Solutions provided a custom, full-scope high-fidelity dynamic simulation using SimSuite Pro to model the plant’s key process and auxiliary systems.

GSE Solutions used the simulator to validate and verify thousands of interlock logic diagrams before start-up, helping SNEC avoid costly downtime and improve operating readiness. The solution enabled design optimization and revisions to start-up procedures, contributing to the plant’s successful start-up and stable running.
