GSE Helps Mochovce Reach Major Safety Milestone with Unique Full-Scope Simulator

Slovenske Elektrarne (SE) needed a modern high-fidelity, full-scope simulator for units 3 and 4 of its Mochovce nuclear power plant to support commissioning, verify and validate operational and emergency procedures, test the digital control system, and train new operators. SE selected GSE Solutions to deliver the MO34 simulator, a complex system that had to work with both the DCS and back-up control panels while the plant was still under construction.

GSE Solutions built and delivered the MO34 simulator on schedule using its high-fidelity software tools and JADE-based interface software. The result gave SE a user-friendly, maintainable simulator with accurate responses across all operating modes, helping the plant verify emergency procedures, prepare operational documentation, and reach a major milestone toward safe operation of units 3 and 4.
