University of California, Berkeley embeds Gruveo to run real-time psychology studies with anonymous video chats

The University of California, Berkeley's Relationships and Social Cognition Lab (RASCL) needed a secure and anonymous video calling solution to facilitate real-time interactions between researchers and participants for their studies on intergroup dynamics. Their challenge was to find a service that protected participant privacy and could be seamlessly integrated into their existing online survey platform. They selected Gruveo for this purpose.

Gruveo provided a solution through its embeddable video calling widget, which was integrated directly into the lab's Qualtrics survey. This allowed for high-quality, anonymous chats within the research flow. The results were highly positive; researchers reported Gruveo's connection quality was far superior to other options and its elegant design contributed to a smooth study experience. This implementation successfully enabled the lab to conduct its research on improving interpersonal interactions.
