GAME, the leading specialist video‑games retailer in the UK and Spain (over 320 stores and ~3,700 staff), needed to rebuild frontline retail skills and a differentiated in‑store experience after a difficult restructuring. Previous eLearning programmes started strong but quickly lost momentum, so GAME sought a more engaging platform to motivate staff and improve customer service.
Growth Engineering built the GAME Learning Zone — an LMS with built‑in gamification (badges, levels, leaderboards) and social features (activity feed, live chat, store "Change Zones"). In the first four months 3,600 learners logged in 40,500 times and completed 61,000 content items (about 17 per learner), while lively social discussions proved the platform had successfully driven engagement and ongoing use.
