Patvocates Continues Cancer Advocacy Work With Online Brainstorming

Patvocates, a consultancy focused on patient advocacy, needed to move the strategic brainstorming sessions of its WECAN network online. The network, consisting of 24 European cancer advocacy groups, could no longer meet in person due to budget constraints and the COVID-19 pandemic, yet they urgently needed to collaboratively identify and prioritize the challenges facing cancer patients.

They implemented GroupMap, an online brainstorming tool, to facilitate this process. The solution allowed participants to contribute ideas asynchronously over two weeks, which were then grouped and rated by the community to establish clear priorities. Using GroupMap provided Patvocates with well-structured data for evidence-based advocacy and removed technological barriers, enabling all members to focus solely on content and collaboration.
