JBFCS - Customer Case Study

JBFCS, New York City’s largest non‑profit provider of human services, runs 125 programs across more than 50 sites and serves over 55,000 people. Its clinicians depend on a patient information application, so even brief network “flutters” or outages can cause missed deadlines and inaccurate records. With a complex mix of DSL, VPN, cable, GigE and Ethernet over Copper links, the organization needed an affordable, flexible monitoring solution that would detect even the most subtle disruptions.

JBFCS deployed GroundWork Monitor Enterprise, replacing consideration of HP OpenView, SolarWinds and Nagios, to monitor 150 production servers and 100 network devices from a single server and display availability maps, dashboards and historical data (via Cacti) in its NOC. The result is a more complete infrastructure view, an intuitive interface, faster outage resolution, and a cost‑effective, high value solution that reduces troubleshooting time for a very lean IT team.
