Case Study: Capital Markets CRC (CMCRC) achieves immediate issue detection and improved uptime with GroundWork

A GroundWork Case Study

Preview of the Capital Markets Case Study

Capital Markets - Customer Case Study

The Capital Markets Cooperative Research Centre (CMCRC) is a non‑profit research consortium supporting capital markets innovation, operating a $100M facility with 29 research partners and producing time‑sensitive market reports. Because its core reports require heavy processing and near‑continuous availability across nearly 100 devices (including 15 HPC servers and ~30 VMs), CMCRC needed maximum uptime, transparent system visibility, and more capable monitoring than its prior tools provided.

CMCRC implemented GroundWork Monitor Enterprise (upgraded from the open source edition) with agents on its Linux and Windows servers to track CPU, memory, VMs, iServers and network equipment, and to deliver immediate alerts via email and text. The deployment was quick, leveraged existing Nagios expertise, replaced previous solutions, and delivered detailed metrics and reporting, greater operational transparency, faster issue detection and a large return on time invested.
