Cambridge Consultants needed a robust, flexible access control system for its innovation and product development centres in Cambridge and Boston. The company’s laboratories are used by project teams on short- and long-term assignments, so it required a solution that could grant time-limited, project-based access rights and then reset privileges when projects ended. Grosvenor Technology provided the access control platform and worked to meet these site-specific needs.

Grosvenor Technology implemented a feature-rich, IP-based access control solution with web browser administration, identity card printing, alarm management, reporting, and integration with lift controls, fire alarms, and existing CCTV. Using existing wiring and infrastructure helped reduce disruption and cost, while modular hardware allowed more than 100 doors to be upgraded quickly, including satellite buildings. The result was a scalable system that improved real-time monitoring and security across both sites, and Grosvenor Technology’s support also made it the chosen option for the Boston location.
