Toyota boosts safety training with Groove Jones across 4 VR modules

The customer, Toyota, faced the challenge of improving safety training in its diverse work environments, which included manufacturing plants and offices surrounded by heavy equipment. To address this, the vendor Groove Jones developed a role-based learning VR program to help employees understand and incorporate safety protocols into their daily work, thereby reducing accident risks.

Groove Jones implemented a multi-module VR training solution built for both desktop and HTC Focus 3 headsets, featuring realistic environments and "choose your own adventure" style interactions. The program achieved five key learning objectives, including starting safety conversations, de-escalating situations, and developing skills for open dialogue, with every user choice being scored to provide a performance measurement.
