AT&T launches a 4,000-square-foot CFP fan activation with Groove Jones

The customer AT&T partnered with vendor Groove Jones to create an immersive fan engagement experience for their activation at the College Football Playoff Fan Central event. The challenge was to develop a standout attraction that would capture fan interest within a large 4,000 square foot footprint and provide a memorable, shareable experience.

Groove Jones implemented a solution centered around their XR Avatar Scanner™ technology. This volumetric scanning system captured fans' likenesses to create life-like avatars for a custom-built video game, the Touchdown Dash. Fans could play this game on large arcade stations at the event or via a mobile version online. The result was a highly interactive experience where fans became the stars of their own game, receiving replay videos to share on social media. Groove Jones successfully delivered a technology-driven activation that significantly elevated fan engagement for AT&T.
