Angelo State University builds 8-wave cybersecurity VR training with Groove Jones

Angelo State University partnered with Groove Jones to create immersive digital experiences for its Mobile STEM Innovation Lab. The challenge was to translate complex cybersecurity subjects into engaging, interactive experiences that would make learning tangible and spark curiosity in middle and high school students.

Groove Jones developed the Cybersecurity Command Center VR experience, an action-driven simulation that places students inside a high-stakes digital defense scenario. This tower defense-inspired game transforms abstract concepts into tangible challenges across eight escalating waves of threats. The solution successfully made the field of cybersecurity more accessible and exciting, providing students with foundational knowledge and a clearer sense of how these skills apply to real-world careers.
