A Grokker Case Study

Preview of the CVS Health Case Study

Within 7 Months of Implementing Grokker, CVS Health Achieves 15% Registration and 60% Active Members Among Registered Population

CVS Health faced a rapid, pandemic-driven need to support the wellbeing of its 293,000 U.S.-based employees — many frontline retail and MinuteClinic workers dealing with higher stress, long hours, and the challenges of a merged workforce after acquiring Aetna. To boost access and engagement across diverse work settings, CVS Health expanded Aetna’s existing relationship with Grokker, rolling out Grokker’s wellbeing engagement solution and a customized, charitable giving-based Gratitude Challenge via the Grokker app.

Grokker designed and deployed the challenge, managed prize fulfillment through Tango Card and employee communications, and offered Group Classes and device-agnostic access to drive participation. Within seven months CVS Health saw over 42,500 registrations (reported as 15% of eligible employees) and 60% of registrants became active members, plus a $25,000 donation to the Employee Relief Fund — outcomes CVS credits to Grokker’s platform and customer success support.
