ceribell, a medical device company, needed to build a medical-grade IoT platform for their novel electroencephalogram (EEG) device that turns brainwaves into sounds. They partnered with the vendor Grio to design and build their FDA-approved cloud-based system.

Grio built Ceribell's clinician web portal, which allows clinicians to visualize multiple data streams concurrently. This solution drastically improved diagnostic efficiency; a study found it reduced wait times for results from 4 hours to 5 minutes and increased diagnostic accuracy from 65% to 90% compared to clinical judgment alone. The Grio-built system also resulted in average savings of more than $5,000 per patient and is now FDA-approved for all ages, making EEGs more accessible and cost-effective.
