A GRINN Case Study
Simplewire, a Denmark-based company founded to address inefficiencies in traditional cable labeling, faced a significant challenge with their initial prototype. Their innovative cable identification system was highly susceptible to electromagnetic interference from surrounding electronic devices and suffered from lower than desired sensitivity. They partnered with the electronics design house GRINN to develop a robust solution that could perform reliably in noise-polluted environments.
GRINN designed and developed a complete system consisting of a signal emitter for the distribution box and a sensitive handheld scanner. This solution successfully eliminated interference issues and provided precise cable identification, significantly reducing the time and costs associated with downtime in large facilities. The project is ongoing, with GRINN developing version 2.0 to further enhance the system's performance and user experience.
