Proglove ships MAI wearable scanner with GRINN's ultra-thin custom hardware and firmware

ProGlove, a Munich-based provider of wearable scanner solutions, needed hardware and firmware engineering expertise to build the foundational layers for their new MAI device. Their challenge was to fit a multi-processor, multi-sensor architecture with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth into an extremely compact wearable with a small battery, requiring a thin PCB and significant power optimization. They engaged vendor GRINN to develop the electronics and low-level embedded software.

GRINN designed a custom, thin PCB using high-density interconnect techniques and developed the low-level firmware, writing drivers for all sensors and optimizing the code to minimize power consumption. This solution resulted in a fully custom hardware and firmware platform that fit within the tight constraints and was ready for prototype manufacturing and certification. The MAI device successfully moved from prototype to a shipping product, with GRINN's technology running at its foundation.
