all.u.me builds a 1 cm safety wearable with GRINN

all.u.me, a Danish company dedicated to preventing harassment, needed to develop a discreet safety wearable. Their challenge was to integrate a full hardware module, including stable Bluetooth connectivity and ultra-low power consumption, into a compact 1 cm form factor for elegant jewelry. They partnered with engineering vendor GRINN to achieve this.

GRINN developed the complete electronics and embedded software, overcoming challenges like antenna design within a metallic housing and achieving a sleep mode power consumption below 400 nA. The result was a robust, certified hardware platform that met all requirements. GRINN's solution enabled all.u.me to launch one of the first safety wearables that successfully combines real-time functionality with aesthetics and comfort.
