TOMS King, a quick-serve restaurant operator, wanted better visibility and control over energy use across its Burger King locations. To address rising energy costs and operational complexity, the company deployed GridPoint’s energy management system at six initial restaurants and then expanded it across its broader portfolio.

GridPoint implemented HVAC and lighting controls, asset-level submetering, monitoring, and cloud-based Energy Manager software, supported by Energy Advisory and Control Support Services. With these tools, TOMS King improved HVAC setpoints, reduced unnecessary heating, cooling, and lighting during unoccupied hours, and identified equipment issues through custom reports and alarms, resulting in valuable energy savings, lower demand peaks, and stronger operational oversight.
