Global Online Marketplace is a global textile e‑commerce platform that connects over 3.3 million creatives with consumers and hosts more than one million designs across fabric, wallpaper, and home decor. Faced with a legacy Single Page Application that had grown in size and complexity, the site suffered slow performance and poor SEO because dynamically rendered pages were not being indexed effectively; the customer engaged Grid Dynamics to analyze performance and improve search visibility, opting to move toward a server-side rendering (SSR) approach and broader performance engineering services.

Grid Dynamics performed measurement, analysis, and iterative engineering—implementing a custom SSR solution with ReactJS and ExpressJS, splitting the application bundle, and applying lazy loading, caching, compression, and vendor-script cleanup. The results included major PageSpeed Insights gains (Desktop ~20–27 → 50+, Mobile ~0–3 → 20+), Total PageSpeed improvements (Desktop 29 → 74, Mobile 1 → 24), large reductions in core web vitals (e.g., First Contentful Paint on Product List Page desktop 2.1s → 0.8s, mobile 8.8s → 3.4s), bundle-size cuts (main chunk 335.7 KiB → 194.7 KiB), the Product List Page moving from page 7 to page 1 in search, and dramatic increases in impressions (a search generating 876K impressions in a month, +200% in 3 months; a query yielding 2.2M monthly impressions), all delivered by Grid Dynamics.
