GV Macero deploys Greyparrot to improve recycling at 75,000 tonnes per year

GV Macero SPA, a major Italian waste paper reprocessor, faced the challenge of improving the recycling rates for composite materials like Tetra Pak and monitoring the quality of its end products, such as deinked pulp. To address this, the company partnered with vendor Greyparrot and deployed its AI waste analytics system, the Greyparrot Analyzer, to gain better intelligence over its sorting operations.

The solution involved installing two Greyparrot Analyzers on the infeed and outfeed lines of its plant. This allowed GV Macero to track incoming composite materials and use the system's Alerts feature to monitor and maintain the quality of its outgoing product. The partnership with Greyparrot provided the crucial AI capability to visually identify packaging and certify product quality, which is fundamental to the company's vision for more intelligent and automated facilities.
