SRF, a global manufacturer and exporter of flexible packaging solutions, sought to improve machine efficiency, control inventory, and reduce trim waste across its operations. To address this challenge, SRF partnered with vendor Greycon to implement its X-Trim optimisation solution.

Greycon worked closely with SRF to implement X-Trim, a solution that finds the most efficient trim by considering optimisation, cost, knife changes, and pattern count. The project was a major success, resulting in measurable improvements including approximately 0.5% savings in trim waste and a 10% reduction in setups. Greycon's solution also provided superior integration capabilities and an intuitive interface that led to rapid user adoption.
