Arctic Paper, a leading European manufacturer of high-quality graphical paper, sought to upgrade its existing planning and optimization systems from Greycon. Their challenge was to enhance functionality and improve trim optimization across their paper mills to reduce waste and increase production efficiency.

Greycon implemented its opt-Studio and X-Trim solutions to provide integrated scheduling and trim optimization. This new system considered both paper machines and downstream operations simultaneously, leading to a 0.5% reduction in trim waste and a 2% reduction in run-length without underproduction. Greycon's solution also delivered substantial process improvements, including enhanced performance and new functionality for hosting parent reels.
