A Greenway Health Case Study
Arlington Orthopedic Associates, a 19‑physician, two‑facility orthopedic practice in North Texas, needed a certified EHR to replace an underused EMR, stop rising transcription and paper costs (about $400,000 and $150,000 annually), and meet meaningful use and reporting requirements. Ease of use and physician adoption were critical because surgeons see high patient volumes and prior systems were too cumbersome.
A physician‑led selection committee chose Greenway’s PrimeSUITE and PrimeSPEECH after a yearlong review; the practice rolled out the system from May to September 2011 and went fully electronic. Results included $400,000 saved in transcription in the first year, elimination of paper charts and related supply/space costs, faster access to records and authorizations, successful meaningful use attestation and incentives, improved patient responsiveness, and ongoing vendor support.
