How Barbour Community Health sustains success with Greenway® Secure Cloud

Barbour Community Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center founded in 1973 in Barbour County, WV, now serving about 17,000 residents with 130 staff across three locations, seven school clinics and a mobile unit. Its rural Appalachian location and limited high-speed internet created major data and infrastructure challenges as the organization grew and acquired additional clinics, making secure, centralized access to patient records and scalable IT management essential.

After securing fiber connectivity and moving to Greenway Secure Cloud (Intergy®) in 2017, Barbour automated software upgrades and centralized backups, cutting manual upgrade time by 45–60 minutes per device and saving about $36,000 annually in backup costs. The cloud-based system provided reliable, scalable access to patient records across sites and schools, improving care coordination and enabling continued outreach to underserved communities.
