Redaptive brings 419kW solar to Rochester cell towers with GreenSpark Solar

GreenSpark Solar partnered with Redaptive, an energy-as-a-service provider, to address the challenge of high energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions for a telecommunications business in Rochester, NY. The customer needed to meet ambitious state climate goals and achieve net-zero emissions targets without a large capital investment.

The solution implemented by GreenSpark Solar was the engineering and construction of a 419kW DC roof-mounted solar array, financed through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) owned by Redaptive. This project, scheduled to be operational by Q3 2024, will provide the telecom company with significant cost savings on electricity, protection from energy price volatility, and a substantial reduction in its carbon footprint.
