South Mill Focuses on Safety and Realizes Efficiency Gains with GreenRoad

South Mill, a leading mushroom grower and distributor with an 80-vehicle fleet and 120–148 drivers, faced the twin challenges of timely delivery for perishable products and improving driver safety. To tackle this, South Mill evaluated and adopted GreenRoad Technologies' driver performance solution, GreenRoad Driver Behavior.

GreenRoad Technologies began with a three-month trial on five trucks and then expanded the GreenRoad Driver Behavior system across the entire fleet, providing in-cab feedback, online reporting and coaching. South Mill’s average Safety Score dropped from a baseline of 38 to about 8–9 per month (scores below 20 are considered safe), and the program identified and reduced local-fleet idling, delivering measurable fuel-cost savings.
