IDM’s Accident Rates and Fuel Costs Drop After Implementing Greenroad’s Safety Solution

IDM Trucking Inc., a family- and employee-owned Mid‑Atlantic carrier with a 60-truck fleet and 50+ drivers, was looking for ways to cut accident rates and blunt rising fuel costs. GreenRoad Technologies rolled out GreenRoad Driver Behavior fleetwide, delivering in-vehicle real-time feedback, web-based risk reports and tailored coaching tools. Within a year IDM’s accident rate fell from 0.38 crashes per million miles to zero, drivers maintained Safety Scores below seven, insurance costs declined, and estimated fuel savings were about $1,500 per vehicle annually.
