Forrest Increases Fuel Economy and Cuts Driver Related Risk with GreenRoad

Forrest, a Bolton-based social housing refurbishment and maintenance provider with a 400-vehicle fleet, wanted to phase in carbon-efficient vehicles and ensure each new vehicle carried a driver safety system to cut risk and maximize the environmental and cost benefits of the update. As part of its Plugged-in-Fleets enrollment, Forrest evaluated solutions and selected GreenRoad Technologies’ driver-behavior offerings (GreenRoad Full Suite / GreenRoad Driver Behavior) to address safety and fuel-efficiency goals.

GreenRoad Technologies ran a pilot at Forrest’s Leeds office and then rolled out its system more widely, quickly improving driving standards: average driver scores dropped from 40 (high risk) to 11 (low risk) in one week—a 75% reduction in risky maneuvers. After deployment claims fell from 70 to 26 annually, Forrest reported fuel economy gains of up to 60% on some vehicles (with a realistic 10% across-fleet target) and expects lower insurance premiums as a result.
