Alpine Travel Reduces Fuel Usage and Accidents with GreenRoad

Alpine Travel, the largest independently owned bus and coach operator in North Wales with about 145 vehicles and 90+ drivers, wanted to run a safer operation, reduce exposure to risk, cut fuel consumption and lessen vehicle wear. To meet those goals the company evaluated options and selected GreenRoad Technologies’ GreenRoad Driver Behavior solution to monitor and improve driver and fleet performance.

GreenRoad Technologies deployed its full driver behavior and fleet performance suite across Alpine’s fleet, enabling drivers to self-monitor and be coached. The program delivered measurable results: reductions in accidents and own-fault damage, lower fuel consumption and reduced vehicle wear and tear, and marked improvements in driver safety scores (two drivers reached a score of 1, one scored 2, five scored 3, etc.). Alpine also tied half of a monthly bonus scheme to GreenRoad performance and integrated the system with in-house training to sustain the gains.
