Carter Thermal Industries(CTI), a global refrigeration and cooling engineering group of almost 1,000 staff (including about 350 field engineers), struggled with fragmented communications and an outdated intranet that left news and technical documents scattered across multiple platforms and inaccessible to on‑the‑road staff. CTI selected GreenOrbit to provide a centralized intranet and mobile access to unify the brand, improve communications, and centralize news and document management.

GreenOrbit implemented a single intranet with mobile document access, sub‑sites and granular user rights, plus Enterprise Social Network functionality (My Hub) to move conversations out of email and encourage knowledge sharing. The intranet became the default homepage for 80% of the group, enabled field engineers to access and edit technical documents on the go, and consolidated content for nearly 1,000 users—improving accessibility, consistency and collaboration across CTI.
