A Greenly Case Study

Preview of the Horizon Software Case Study

Horizon Software trusts Greenly to measure its carbon footprint

Horizon Software, a software company founded in 1998 with 150 employees, needed a practical way to measure its carbon footprint and understand its environmental impact. It chose Greenly’s software to automate data collection and simplify the process of calculating its emissions.

With Greenly, Horizon Software completed its first carbon footprint assessment for 2020, totaling 172 tCO2e/year. The results helped the company identify two main improvement levers — energy and suppliers — while also supporting employee awareness and sustainability action, with impacts illustrated as 15 Paris–New York round trips, 77 hectares of forest needed for offsetting, and emissions equivalent to 15 French people.
