How Revive is Redefining Retail with Greenly Uncovering the True Impact of Their Products Through LCA

(Re)vive is a tech-enabled refurbisher that restores damaged retail inventory to sellable condition to prevent textile waste and recover revenue for brands. Facing limited environmental transparency, complex data collection across materials and processes, and the need to scale impact measurement, (Re)vive partnered with Greenly to quantify and validate the environmental benefits of its refurbishment service through a structured life cycle analysis (LCA) and data-driven platform.

Greenly implemented a full “gate-to-gate” LCA with streamlined data collection and benchmarking via its platform, enabling (Re)vive to report ESG data per refurbished item. The analysis found an average emission of 1.788 kg CO2e per item, with refurbishment producing 83.6% fewer emissions than new garment production, 44.8% fewer than incineration, and 21.6% fewer than traditional recycling—results Greenly’s tools helped (Re)vive communicate transparently to partners and scale its sustainability program.
