How CANAL+ Achieved Its Most Successful Series Launch Ever

CANAL+, the leading French audiovisual media group, needed a better way to build awareness and engagement for its growing slate of channel brands and programming. Its social team relied on inefficient, hard-to-track methods like WhatsApp and email to share photos and videos with talent, making it difficult to measure performance or quickly collect content from advocates during live events. CANAL+ turned to Greenfly to help streamline content sharing and amplify promotion through its roster of celebrity talent, sports commentators, and show creators.

With Greenfly’s brand advocacy platform, CANAL+ created a central hub to organize and distribute trailers, clips, promos, and content requests to advocates via mobile, supported by suggested copy, hashtags, and tune-in dates. Greenfly also provided analytics to track sharing and engagement across shows, advocates, and social networks. The results included 100 advocates actively using the platform, more than 500 assets shared in the first four months, over 200,000 new social engagements, and 159% more follower growth for advocates on Instagram; the March 2020 launch of Validé became CANAL+’s most successful premiere ever, reaching 15 million views on MyCanal.
