GivingTuesday, the global generosity movement, wanted to broaden its message for its 2020 awareness day and show that giving goes far beyond financial donations. With a small communications team and only a few weeks to work, they needed a fast, efficient way to collect authentic user-generated photos and videos from volunteers, donors, and advocates to power their campaign. Greenfly helped GivingTuesday launch a branded submission page in 48 hours, collect and organize more than 150 rights-cleared video stories, and distribute the best content across social channels, livestreams, and media outreach. The campaign helped generate a national ABC News pickup, contributed to 20 billion organic social impressions, and supported the event’s $2.47 billion raised in the U.S. in 24 hours, a 25% increase from 2019. It also helped drive 35 million participants globally, up 29% year over year.
