BET Networks Surpasses Tentpole Social Goals

BET Networks, a leading provider of entertainment, music, news, and public affairs programming for African-American audiences, needed a better way to cut through the noise of always-on social media and build awareness and engagement around its shows and events. The challenge was getting timely, high-quality promotional assets into the hands of its large talent roster quickly enough to support key social moments. Greenfly helped BET address this need with a social collaboration platform for sharing content across talent and shows.

Using Greenfly, BET organized, curated, and distributed trailers, behind-the-scenes clips, tune-in promos, and other original content to talent for posting on their personal profiles, while also tracking sharing and performance. The result was 2,200 assets shared to social in the first three months, 100% of the Boomerang cast using Greenfly, and 4x engagement when an artist shared a BET Awards performance. Greenfly also helped BET achieve three of the top 10 cable award tentpoles on social in 2019, significantly expanding the network’s organic reach.
