The V Foundation, a nonprofit that has awarded over $310 million in cancer research grants, runs multiple large, multi-day fundraising events nationwide. When Assistant Director of Event Technology Patrick C. took over, he had two weeks to become the in‑house expert on the Greater Giving platform and tackle a major pain point: collecting sponsor and guest contact information in advance to avoid registration bottlenecks that can harm the guest experience.

In 2022 the team adopted Greater Giving’s new RSVP dashboard, sending sponsors unique links to self-enter guest details, which eliminated repetitive outreach and streamlined data collection. The change saved staff time, improved guest communications and check‑in (allowing attendees to be greeted by name), and freed the team to focus on event production—resulting in 270 attendees and $1.7 million raised at the event, a 40% increase over the prior year.
