St. Therese Catholic Academy (STCA) is a diverse Preschool–8 school in Seattle serving a high percentage of students of color, many on tuition assistance and individualized learning plans. The school needed a way to engage multiple audiences—parents, parishioners, and community supporters—to attract new donors, procure compelling auction items, and overcome last‑minute RSVPs while boosting funds for student programs.

Partnering with Kilbreath Events and using Greater Giving’s reporting, STCA analyzed past sales to prioritize high‑return items, created targeted donor outreach, launched online bidding and a QR‑code community campaign, and redesigned the gala as an energetic cocktail event with a professional auctioneer, DJ, and AV. The result: $160,000 raised (a 40% increase and the most in 10 years), more than $75,000 from the raise‑the‑paddle, online bidding surpassing prior in‑person silent sales, and live items averaging 160% of their value.
