Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital - Customer Case Study

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, a long-standing pediatric care leader in Baltimore, needed to grow fundraising beyond a recurring fashion show that raised about $20,000 annually. When the hospital revived its Gala in 2014 under new events director Tammany Buckwalter, rapid ticket sales exposed that their existing registration and auction tools couldn’t handle the event’s scale while development staff and volunteers were already stretched thin.

They adopted the Greater Giving web-based event platform—using multi-user item entry, integrated credit-card processing, Online Bidding, email/eblasts and the Go Time event interface—to streamline prep, communication and onsite check-out (with cancellation insurance covering an emergency venue move). The technology lightened volunteers’ workloads, boosted pre-event engagement and mobile bidding, and helped grow fundraising from ~$20K to a $110K net first Gala and over $198K in two years, improving donor experience and patient support.
