Jazz Arts Group of Columbus - Customer Case Study

Jazz Arts Group of Columbus (JAG) is a not-for-profit organization that produces, performs, and promotes jazz while delivering education and community programs. For more than a decade JAG managed its annual gala with basic spreadsheets, which caused data-entry errors, bottlenecks, misassigned bids and multi-day payment reconciliation. A 2015 in-house payment attempt failed, so organizers sought a reliable external solution to streamline registration, payments and reporting.

JAG implemented Greater Giving’s Event Software Online, Online Payments and Auctionpay, moving registration online and using the Go Time check-in/out feature. Payments that once took days were completed in about three hours, auction and sponsorship processing became fast and accurate, and contact info for 250 guests was captured automatically. Reliable reporting for the board was available within weeks, sponsors received better recognition on JAG’s website, and the fundraiser exceeded prior results—raising $20,000 more than the previous year—while two staff members managed the event smoothly.
