Employee Assistance Fund for Alaska Airlines - Customer Case Study

The Employee Assistance Fund (EAF) for Alaska Airlines is a nonprofit that provides short-term financial support to employees facing emergencies, major medical situations, or catastrophic loss. When Executive Director Desiree Allen joined, much of the fundraising—especially for their large annual golf tournament with roughly 500 attendees and high-demand sponsorships—was done manually on paper, creating a huge organizational and tracking challenge for ticketing, auctions, games, and multi-course logistics.

EAF adopted Greater Giving in 2019 to automate ticketing and sponsorship sales, run their week-long online auction and live auction (including remote bidders), process on-site games and raffles through a storefront, and generate planning reports—backed by training resources and support. The software saved hours of work, improved data tracking, and helped the event net more than $500,000 in 2023, with plans to increase fundraising in 2024.
